About Spice Girls:-
The Spice Girls are an English girl group formed in 1994, consisting of Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham. They became one of the defining pop acts of the 1990s and helped popularise the idea of Girl Power.
Their breakthrough came with the 1996 single Wannabe, which became an international number-one hit. It was followed by successful songs including Say You'll Be There, 2 Become 1, Spice Up Your Life and Viva Forever.
The group's personalities and distinctive nicknames — Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Posh Spice — became an important part of their appeal. Their debut album, Spice, became one of the best-selling albums by a female group.
The Spice Girls also starred in the 1997 film Spice World, which became a major commercial success. Geri Halliwell left the group in 1998, but the remaining members continued before eventually pursuing individual careers.
The group have reunited for several major performances, including a highly successful UK stadium tour in 2019. Their influence extends beyond music into fashion, advertising and popular culture.
With millions of records sold worldwide, the Spice Girls remain one of the most successful girl groups of all time and played a major role in shaping the sound and culture of 1990s pop music.
