About Abba:-
ABBA are a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name was created from the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most successful pop groups of all time.
ABBA achieved international recognition after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo. Their success continued with an extraordinary series of global hits, including Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Fernando, Take a Chance on Me and The Winner Takes It All.
Their music combined memorable melodies, layered harmonies and sophisticated studio production, helping establish a distinctive sound that remains hugely popular. Albums such as Arrival, The Album and Voulez-Vous became international bestsellers.
ABBA stopped performing together regularly in the early 1980s, but their music continued to attract new generations of fans. The stage musical Mamma Mia! and its subsequent films introduced their songs to an even wider audience.
The group reunited for new music in 2021 with the album Voyage, their first studio album in nearly 40 years. ABBA's influence on pop music remains enormous, with their songs continuing to be performed, streamed and celebrated around the world.
